Walk with me here
One thing I've tried to approach a couple of times in the past is a 'walkie-talkie'-style app. Let's say you're paired up with somebody else. You have a big button, you hold it down and talk into your device. The person on the other side hears what you say with as little latency as possible. A walkie-talkie. Not voice notes or phone calls, but quick disposable voice blasts that are ephemeral - if you weren't there, you didn't hear it.
There's a few technical challenges there, like network connectivity (low cellular signals might introduce delays), the app being active to receive any communications, and how on earth we do all of this the first place. Feels like you'd need some solid infrastructure to maintain it too.
But it's on the shelf as "something I'd like to do", so maybe one of these days.
