A good idea?

Today's tinkering would have been around an offline diary for my 6-year-old to fill in. Local storage, let him type about his day plus a wee drawing pad for him to sketch his favourite part of the day. Couple benefits there would have been more experience with typing, and there would be some reward mechanics for good spelling. Little firework animations, happy sound effects, that sort of thing.

But then I thought of something else. I'll get back to you on it.
